Lawmakers are planning a special next week that will tackle a range of issues, including setting aside hundreds of millions of dollars to protect federally-funded benefits.

A notice for the special session was yet available Thursday, but lawmakers said the session would also include bills on housing, immigration and UConn Health’s bid to buy Waterbury Hospital.

The legislature has not yet publicly released any of the bills with the session starting Wednesday, but lawmakers have indicated the fund would set aside as much as $500 million.
