The Brantford Bulldogs remain unbeaten in regulation – but just barely.
Playing in Peterborough on Thursday night, the Bulldogs needed a late Cooper Dennis goal to send the game into overtime before the Petes came away with a 4-3 victory.
Brantford is now 13-0-3-1 on the season while Peterborough improves to 8-7-1-1.
After the Petes opened the scoring, Adam Benak scored a power-play marker for the Bulldogs to even the game at 1-1 after 20 minutes.
Peterborough went ahead 3-1 in the second before Dennis scored late to trim the deficit to one.
With 53 seconds remaining in regulation, and Brantford on a two-man advantage thanks to a Peterborough penalty and the pulling of goaltender Ryerson Leenders, Dennis tied the game.
