GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- The community in Glastonbury is mourning the loss of 15-year-old Dillon Dupuis, who died after a crash on Hebron Avenue on Friday, Oct. 24.
Dupuis joined the Glastonbury Fire Cadet Program when he was just 14, his friends and fellow firefighters having responded to the crash scene. At the firehouse on Main Street, black bunting drapes now hang from the walls in his memory.
"He was a member of the family and he was a young man going through life," said Glastonbury Fire Chief Michael Thurz. "Hopefully he could've been part of our future as a firefighter when he turned 18."
Dupuis was well-known at Glastonbury High School and in the community in general. Not only was he a fire cadet, he was also a member of the school's crew team and marching band. Grief counse
