An investigation is ongoing after a teenager was stabbed in Paisley town centre on Bonfire Night.

The incident happened at around 8.55pm on Wednesday, November 5. Officers locked down the Gauze Street area after a 13-year-old boy was found seriously assaulted. He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.

Glasgow Live can confirm the incident was a stabbing. Investigations remain ongoing however, detectives are following a positive line of enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55pm on Wednesday, 5 November, 2025, we received a report of a 13-year-old boy seriously assaulted in the Gauze Street area of Paisley.
