NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Two teens were sent to the hospital after a police chase led to a car crash.
According to the Niagara Falls Police Department, around 9 p.m., on Thursday, officers attempted to stop a 2020 Kia Sportage after it was seen violating several traffic and vehicle laws. The driver allegedly refused to stop and continued driving east on Niagara Street.
A short time later, the Kia struck a telephone pole at the corner of Osborne Ct. and Portage Road, spun around, and hit a marked police vehicle.
A 14-year-old female was ejected from the Kia and transported to Oshei Children's Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The 14-year-old male driver was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation.
