KENTUCKY. (WSAZ) - The 2026 Grammy Award nominations were announced this morning, with several being earned by Kentucky’s very own.
Country singers Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton earned nominations in several country categories.
Childers is originally from Lawrence County, KY., and Stapleton is originally from Lexington, KY.
Childers was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his song, “Nose on the Grindstone.” He was also nominated for Best Country Song for “Bitin’ List” and Best Contemporary Country Album for “Snipe Hunter.”
Stapleton also is nominated for Best Country Song for “A Song to Sing” with Miranda Lambert. He also earned a nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his song with Lambert and “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” with George Strait.
