NEWPORT, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man in East Tennessee recovered a chainsaw that was stolen by an unlikely suspect, a bear.

The suspect, a large black bear, was spotted on surveillance camera moseying around the Newport man’s yard and was eventually spotted walking away from the property with the man’s brand new chainsaw.

In a series of social media posts, the user @BowTiedBroke shared videos of the bear stealing his chainsaw from his front porch.

The post explained how the video was not AI-generated.
