After federal restrictions on flight capacity went into effect on Friday due to the federal government shutdown, airlines are starting to cancel services on Saturday.

As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, FlightAware is showing 23 canceled flights to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 13 of them departures and 10 arrivals.

More may follow as the new day approaches, with the Trump administration ordering airlines to cut capacity at 40 major airports by 4% on Friday, rising to 10% over the coming days.

It comes as tens of thousands of air traffic controllers and TSA agents continue to work without pay due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.
