MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (KETK) - A former Mount Pleasant ISD special education teacher's aide was arrested on Friday for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student.

According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Mount Pleasant ISD was told about an alleged improper relationship at around 8:52 a.m. on Friday morning.

The district contacted Mount Pleasant PD and detectives arrived on campus to investigate the allegations. The detectives found probable cause to arrest a special education teacher's aide at P.E. Wallace Middle School.

Jaquaven Rogers was allegedly working at P.E. Wallace and is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student from a different Mount Pleasant ISD campus, according to Mount Pleasant PD.

Rogers was then arrested for child grooming,
