MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — A teacher's aide for Mount Pleasant ISD was arrested after an investigation into allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a student, KTBS reports.

According to a Mount Pleasant ISD news release, "MPISD was made aware of an inappropriate situation involving a teacher's aide at P.E. Wallace Middle School and a current MPISD student attending a different campus on Friday, November 7."

The news release did not mention a name, but KTBS has identified the teacher's aide as 27-year-old Jaquaven Rogers. He has been charged with improper relationship between an educator and student and sexual assault of a child.

Rogers has been terminated from his position at the school district, the Mount Pleasant ISD news release confirmed.
