SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Ulster County District Attorney's Office reported that Ian Welling of Saugerties was sentenced on Thursday to five years in state prison in a sex crime case involving a minor. Welling, 43, pleaded guilty before Judge Bryan Rounds prior to his sentencing.

As part of his plea on November 6, Welling admitted to inappropriately touching a child younger than 11 years old for his own sexual gratification. He was taken into custody following an investigation conducted by the Saugerties Police Department.
