Update: Police say no ongoing threat to public after shots fired near University of Iowa campus

UPDATE (2:39 p.m.) Iowa City Police say they believe it was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Authorities have issued a Hawk Alert following reports of gunshots near Burlington and Governor Streets. The suspect was initially seen heading eastbound but later fled westbound on foot.
