BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man on Friday pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges for stabbing three employees inside a Buffalo Psychiatric Center housing unit last year.

Calvin W. Haskins, 35, admitted in Erie County Court to two violent felony counts of attempted murder and one violent felony count of assault for the April 2024 attack , Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced Friday.

Prosecutors said the stabbings occurred around 9:05 a.m. on April 3, 2024, when Haskins intentionally attacked the employees inside a Forest Avenue housing unit for outpatient residents of the psychiatric center. He attempted to kill a male employee by stabbing him multiple times, then stabbed a female employee who tried to intervene.
