INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Fox Sports announced it has parted ways with football anchor Mark Sanchez and hired Super Bowl champion Drew Brees to fill his position.

This decision follows Sanchez's arrest in Indianapolis over an incident where he was allegedly involved in a fight with a truck driver. According to a Fox spokesperson, Sanchez has been off the air since the incident.

The altercation took place on October 4 and reportedly began over a parking spot. Sanchez was in Indianapolis for the Raiders-Colts game at the time.

The truck driver involved in the incident is also suing both Sanchez and Fox Sports. Sanchez faces a felony battery charge involving serious bodily injury.

Fox Sports has not provided further details regarding the situation.
