MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Israeli and US officials have revealed that a plot to assassinate Israel's ambassador to Mexico was disrupted earlier this year.

According to US officials, the plan to kill the ambassador was devised and was supposed to occur towards the end of last year.

Officials informed the Associated Press that the plot was stopped in its tracks and no longer poses a threat.
