DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Government Shutdown is impacting many of the nation’s airports.

Close to 2,000 flights have already been canceled coast to coast.

All of this after the FAA called for a 10% reduction in air traffic.

Officials warn that things will only get worse if the shutdown drags on.

According to the MSP website, a total of 31 flights were either cancelled or delayed as of 10 A.M. Friday morning.

Among those flights, there were a lot of layovers, meaning an airport that had a flight cancelled or delayed coming to MSP also had a flight cancelled or delayed leaving the airport

Four of those flights were either arrivals or departures of Midway International
