NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tennessee has seen more cases of Measles in 2025 than in nearly a decade.
The CDC reports that Tennessee only had four Measles cases in all of last year. State data from Friday morning reports that there have been eight confirmed measles cases in Tennessee this year, meaning the number of cases reported has doubled.
There have been seven other measles cases reported in Tennessee this year, according to data from the Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH).
TDOH data shows that three of them were in the region immediately surrounding Davidson County, which the state calls the Mid-Cumberland Region. It’s marked in light blue on this map.
