PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A 36-year-old man was indicted for the 2022 shooting death of 26-year-old Jaquan Jenkins in northwest Portland, police announced on Friday.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, Alexander Emanuel Warren was indicted on Tuesday by a Multnomah County Grand Jury. He is facing charges of second-degree murder and possessing a firearm as a felon. Warren was already in custody on an unrelated case.

Jenkins was shot and killed early in the morning of Jan. 28, 2022, near Northwest Second Avenue and Northwest Couch Street. Officers tried to save him when they arrived but Jenkins later died.
