CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - The week-long search for a missing hunter at the Mount Hood National Forest has been suspended, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday.

A large-scale search and rescue operation first began on Oct. 31 after 51-year-old hunter Devon Dobek was reported missing.

Dobek’s truck was found near the Fish Creek Trailhead off SE Hwy 224 and 54 Rd., but there was no sign of the man or a deer.

As of Sunday afternoon, more than 100 searchers were helping to look, along with drones and an Oregon National Guard helicopter.

The effort was scaled back to about 50 searchers Monday, though the helicopter and drones continue to be utilized - despite the rainy conditions - the CCSO says.
