NEW SCOTLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schodack man is facing charges after police said he forced his way onto the property of the National Grid power substation in the town of New Scotland.
National Grid security called the Albany County Sheriff's Office shortly after midnight on Friday for a person trespassing at the substation. When police arrived, they found an unoccupied vehicle nearby and a hole cut into the facility's fence.
They also found forced entry to a structure used to store substation materials. Burglary tools, including a cordless electric saw, a headlamp, and gloves, were at the scene, according to police.
