UPS Airlines abruptly grounded its entire fleet of McDonnell Douglas MD-11s on Friday. The decision, which the company says was made "in the interest of safety," comes just three days after flight 2976 tragically crashed near Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF).
In a statement, the carrier confirmed the grounding represents less than 10% of its fleet.
