A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was stabbed in an 'unprovoked' attack in Birmingham city centre .

The victim, aged in her 30s, was knifed on Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm yesterday (November 7).

She was rushed to hospital with a serious neck injury and remains in a critical condition this morning.

A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested close to the scene.
