There will be multiple opportunities for the public and local veterans to gather in commemoration of Veterans Day.

From a pancake breakfast to school ceremonies, here is some of what’s planned for this year:

Sault Ste. Marie

The Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians will host a Veterans Day Drum Dance Social on Saturday, Nov. 8. The social will be at the Niigaanagiizhik Building. First song is at 1 p.m. and the Thanksgiving Feast will be at 5 p.m. The event will include drums, giveaways and spot dances. For more information, visit saulttribe.com .
