Parents curious about how to handle their children's use of TikTok were able to hear from not only the social media app's executives, but also teens themselves Nov. 6.

The Twinsburg Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), along with the Ohio PTA and National PTA, hosted an interactive panel at Twinsburg High School on Nov. 6.

The app, which allows the creation and sharing of videos, is used by some 170 million people in the United States.

The aim of the event was to show adults the parental controls and safety features that are on TikTok and allow them to ask "the tough questions" of TikTok representatives, said Mikki Wilson, National PTA Connected ambassador.

Around 200 residents and elected officials showed up for the event.
