The Killarney-Turtle Mountain Fire Department has finally received the newest addition to their fleet of fire and rescue vehicles. The long-awaited pumper truck is parked at its new home at the Killarney fire hall.

Fire Chief, Troy Cuvelier, says the shiny white truck all decaled up with Killarney-TM logos comes from the U.S. and is one of two pumper trucks for the department.

The truck had been ordered some time ago, as is required for this municipal fire department as they are an offensive fire department which requires their main pumper truck to be no older than 10 years. As an offensive fire department, they are required to have a higher caliber of equipment than a defensive fire department, as mandated by the National Fire Protection Association.
