EAST LANSING – A pair of top-25 teams led by Hall of Fame coaches tipping off in an on-campus matchup during the opening week of the season.

That should be enough to get the15,000 or so fans at the Breslin Center juiced when No. 22 Michigan State (1-0) hosts No. 14 Arkansas (1-0) on Saturday (7 p.m., FOX).

“I think the place is going to be hopping, I think people are hungry for seeing a game like this,” Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said after Thursday’s practice. “We’ve just got to answer the bell the same way.”

The game will be the first of a home-and-home series that will take the Spartans to Fayetteville next year and is a refreshing break from neutral site matchups. It will also be Arkansas coach John Calipari’s first trip to the Breslin Center to face a longtime friend.
