Many New York City public school students won’t be on campus for a full five-day week in November due to upcoming days off and half-days.
Students had their first day off this month on Tuesday, Nov. 4, for Election Day.
Also this past week, elementary school students had a half-day on Thursday, Nov. 6, for afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences.
Next week, students will be off once again on Tuesday, Nov. 11, as schools are closed in observance of Veterans Day. The federal holiday is set aside each year to thank and honor all those who served honorably in the military — in wartime or peacetime, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
On Thursday, Nov. 13, students in middle schools and District 75 schools will have a half-day for parent-teacher conferences. The
