BREEZY POINT — Breezy Point continues to move ahead with financing and construction for its Buschmann Road and Ranchette Drive improvement project.

Rebecca Kurtz, senior municipal adviser with Ehlers Public Finance Advisors, presented to the Breezy Point City Council during a public hearing at its regular meeting Monday, Nov. 3.

Kurtz outlined proposed estimates for the issuance of general obligation street reconstruction plan bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,350,000.

During the public comment portion of the hearing, Bill Toft, of the Breezy Point Alliance, questioned the interest rate and duration of the bonds Ehlers had proposed, and offered alternative options.

Staff were directed to work with Ehlers to provide Toft with answers to his specific questions on the issue.
