A former Met Police officer allegedly engaged sex workers’ services while at work.

Imran Patel, who is also accused of accessing adult websites while on duty, faces a misconduct hearing in January.

The former police constable’s alleged transgressions are said to have taken place on May 5, 2022. The ex-police constable quit the force last year.

He is also accused of committing fraud by using his position as an officer to take money and driving licence from a citizen in 2021.

And in 2022, a stab vest was allegedly found at his home even though he had no lawful reason to have it there.

The misconduct hearing, scheduled to take place from January 7 to 9, could see Patel found guilty of gross misconduct.
