CASS COUNTY, MI — A Niles man was sent to the hospital with injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking across a road.
At about 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report a car had hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Barron Lake Road and Cliffield Court in Howard Township.
A preliminary investigation showed a 78-year-old Niles man was walking across Barron Lake Road from Cliffield Court when he was struck by a vehicle.
Sheriff’s officials say a 55-year-old Cassopolis woman was traveling northbound on Barron Lake Road when her vehicle struck the man.
The man was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
