TYLER, Texas — The Texas A&M Forest Service is warning of high to very high fire danger across East Texas on Sunday as dry air and gusty winds move in ahead of a cold front expected to bring the season’s coldest temperatures so far.
A fire watch has been issued for the following counties starting at 6 p.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Monday:

Trinity
A red flag warning has been issued for the following counties starting at 12:45 p.m. Sunday to 6 p.m. Monday.

Officials say the combination of low humidity, breezy conditions and dry vegetation could allow fires to start easily and spread quickly. People are urged to avoid outdoor burning and use caution with anything that could spark a fire, including equipment and vehicles.
