On Sunday at 4:48 p.m. a freeze watch was released by the National Weather Service valid for Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
The weather service states, “Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees possible.”
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation,” comments the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
