A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:08 a.m. valid from 6 p.m. until Tuesday 6 p.m. for Oneida, Onondaga and Madison counties.

"Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Several rounds of lake effect snow showers, wind and any heavier snow showers may reduce visibilities as well. Accumulations during the day will mainly be on grassy areas but slick spots could form at night and during any heavier snow showers."
