On Monday at 1:08 a.m. the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory in effect until Tuesday at 1 p.m. for Northern Erie.
"Snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Localized tree damage and power outages are possible due to the combined weight of wet snow accumulations and leaves remaining on the trees. Snowfall rates within the strongest bands may reach up to 1 inch per hour."
