Future first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski will sign a one-day contract with the New England Patriots this week, allowing him to officially retire as a Patriot.

Gronkowski, who spent all but one season of his career in New England, retires holding multiple team and NFL records — including most touchdowns in a single season by a tight end and most postseason touchdown receptions. He was instrumental in helping the Patriots win four Super Bowls.

The team will host a live signing event on its social media channels on Monday, Nov. 10, at 12:15 p.m.

Gronkowski teased the news Sunday during FOX’s “NFL Countdown,” where he serves as an on-air commentator.

He ended his playing career with a Super Bowl victory in 2023 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
