Newman Regional Health honored Anna Stanley, RN of Newman’s Critical Decision Unit, with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses on Friday, Nov. 7.

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program partnered with over 5,000 healthcare facilities and schools of nursing, established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died in 1999 from an autoimmune disease. The award honors nurses who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in care and compassion.

NRH partnered with The DAISY Foundation in 2022 to begin rewarding recipients and has since received over 500 nominations from its patients. Stanley received four separate nominations for the November DAISY Award.
