LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- President Donald Trump pardoned several people involved in efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election, including six so-called Republican fake electors in Nevada who mailed phony electoral certificates claiming he won that race.
In December 2020, after former President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, the group of six Republicans signed paperwork signaling their support for Trump in a symbolic ceremony devoid of any legal merit. The group then mailed the certificates to Washington.
The six -- Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald, former Clark County party chairman Jesse Law, Jim DeGraffenreid, Durward James Hindle III, Shawn Meehan and Eileen Rice -- face forgery charges in Carson City court.
