CLEVELAND, Ohio — Embattled Millennia Companies is facing a third lawsuit alleging unpaid debts over downtown Cleveland buildings.
The Ohio Water Development Authority last week filed a foreclosure lawsuit against Millennia over unpaid debt tied to 75 Public Square, a luxury apartment building near the Old Stone Church.
Millennia, one of the largest owners of downtown real estate, has also been accused in recent months of defaulting on loans for The Centennial Building and The Statler apartment building.
The most recent complaint, filed in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, alleges that the company defaulted on a $3 million loan issued in 2020. The loan was intended to support the conversion of 75 Public Square from office space to apartment units.
