INDIANAPOLIS —
Indiana Gov. Mike Braun announced Monday the state will be issuing partial Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to eligible residents.
Benefits will start processing Monday and should be available on EBT cards starting Tuesday. Advertisement
The Senate has taken its first real step to end the government shutdown, nearing its seventh week, as seven Democrats broke with their party to support a new compromise.
Braun said even as the shutdown winds down, the state is positioned to deliver full benefits when possible.
