A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:32 a.m. in effect until Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Erie County.
"Additional snow accumulations 3 to 5 inches in the most persistent lake snows," can be expected according to the weather service. "A brief period of moderate snow will be possible in the Buffalo Metro area and the Northtowns late tonight into early Wednesday morning."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday and Wednesday morning commutes," describes the weather service. "Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities."
