KINGSTON – Police are investigating an incident in which a train struck a pedestrian at 101 Smith Avenue in the City of Kingston shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday.

The condition of the individual was not immediately known.

As a result. multiple railroad crossings in the city were temporarily blocked while emergency crews worked in the area.

Police officers and CSX Railroad personnel worked to clear the area.
