A 3-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a pond behind his home died on Nov. 8, according to the Solon Police Department.
The boy, identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner as Jerome Adompreh-Fia of Solon, was reported missing at 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 8. Adompreh-Fia’s father called the Solon Police Department and informed officers that his son, who was being watched by an adult family member alongside another child at the time, was missing from their residence on Capilano Drive.
When officers arrived on the scene, followed by the boy’s parents, they conducted a search inside and around the house. Shortly after, the boy was found unresponsive in a pond behind the home and officers began lifesaving measures immediately, according to a news release.
