POUGHKEEPSIE – Nineteen-year-old Jaheim Parkin of Poughkeepsie has been indicted on the felonies of manslaughter and assault for his role in a fatal car crash on All Angels Hill Road in Wappinger last year that claimed the life of Yanique Jackson, 23, of Poughkeepsie, who was a passenger in Parkin’s car.
District Attorney Anthony Parisi said, “Reckless and irresponsible behavior on our roadways will not be tolerated. The defendant’s alleged actions resulted in the tragic and entirely preventable death of one passenger and caused serious
injury to another passenger. Our office is committed to pursuing justice for the victims and their families and to ensuring accountability for anyone whose reckless actions put lives at risk.”
