POUGHKEEPSIE – Twelve people were arrested on Monday, November 17, when City of Poughkeepsie Police from the Patrol and Community Policing Units conducted a warrant detail leading to the arrests and clearing of 19 outstanding warrants.

During the warrant detail, 36-year-old Samantha Smith was found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. She was arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police Chief Rich Wilson told Mid-Hudson News that eight of the individuals with outstanding warrants were taken into custody on the 400 and 500 blocks of Main Street.
