Frank Florian said he woke up Wednesday with bags under his eyes — but it was all worth it for him.
He was like many in Edmonton, Alberta and across the world who wanted to capture the incredible display of northern lights that lit up the skies around the globe.
“Last night, it was really strong from sundown to 9 p.m., then it got quiet and kicked in again around 11 p.m. and went to 1 a.m.,” said Florian who is the senior manager, planetarium and space sciences for the Telus World of Science.
“Then from 2 a.m. to sunrise, the intensity of the northern lights picked up strong again.”
If you took any time scrolling through your social media on Tuesday night, surely your feed was filled with people’s photos of the northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis.
