HONOLULU (Island News) -- Newly-released court documents and information from the Honolulu Police Department are revealing more about what led up to the death of 55-year-old Jonnaven Monalim.
According to the documents, Monalim had gone to collect money he was owed from gambling — about $80,000 from a football game, according to his sister. He was reported missing last Thursday, prompting family members to track his phone to Waihona Street in the Pearl City industrial area. There, they found blood on the sidewalk, Monalim’s hearing aid and a gun cartridge case.
Family members told police that Clarence Luke was the last person to see Monalim. Luke reportedly denied harming him and claimed he was elsewhere at the time. However, investigators said Luke’s cell phone location data and surveil
