Special needs students in Coweta have a new institution dedicated to individualized success.
On Aug. 4, 2025, The Lighthouse Special Education Academy opened its doors for the first time.
Located at 66 Thomas Grace Annex Lane, the academy is a specialized learning center dedicated to providing individualized education, therapeutic support and a nurturing environment for students with a range of learning differences and developmental challenges.
The academy was created in response to a massive gap in Coweta County, executive director Keri Bethea said.
