HONOLULU (Island News) -- The man accused of killing a missing man from Kapolei whose body was found with fatal gunshot wounds in Waipio was indicted with murder on Friday.
Clarence Luke, Jr., 42, was indicted with second-degree murder on Friday, Nov. 14, for the alleged killing of Jonnaven Monalim, 55. Luke was arrested on Nov. 12 following the murder that police said took place on Nov. 5.
Monalim was reported as missing by his family on Friday, Nov. 7, and he was last heard from after leaving his home in Kapolei. Police found his decomposing body with multiple gunshot wounds at the end of Waipio Point Access Road that same day.
Luke was also indicted for carrying or using a firearm in the commission of a separate felony, and place to keep pistol or revolver.
