Cameron Williams, a top-five prospect in the Class of 2026, committed on Friday to play for Duke.
After visiting Duke during the school's Countdown to Craziness festivities in early October, the 6-foot-11 forward made his decision to join coach Jon Scheyer over opportunities at Arizona and Texas.
"I felt Coach Scheyer was cool, normal and authentic in what he said and did. I watched practice, and I saw he is not a crazy coach, but he does get intense. He gets along well with his players," Williams told ESPN.
"The energy in that place was crazy, and it truly shows how much support the basketball team has from everyone."
A senior out of Saint Mary's High in Phoenix, Williams is ranked the No. 1 power forward and No. 4 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 by the 247Sports composite.
