MORGANTOWN -- Rivalry games can take a lot out of players due to the amount of adrenaline exhausted.

The West Virginia University men's basketball team is hoping to rest up and get back to work following Thursday's Backyard Brawl victory over Pitt, 71-49.

Thursday was the first time anyone on the Mountaineers' roster, either players or coaches, had experienced the rivalry against the Panthers.

Now WVU must put the 22-point victory behind it to avoid a hangover on Monday when Lafayette comes to town.

It'll be the first time since 2014 the Mountaineers will meet the Leopards from the Patriot League.
